Description
"Yesterday a wizard entered New York with a case. A case of magical creatures, and - unfortunately - some have escaped."
Let's just say, I now know how Lord of the Rings fans felt about the Hobbit movies, and the Star Wars fans about the Prequel Trilogy.
The thing that made Fantastic Beasts the most disappointing, is that once again Hollywood cares more about cashing in on a popular franchise than making a good movie.
You'd think J.K. Rowling writing the script would be a great thing. Instead, it seemed she cared more about setting up future films than writing a genuinely good story. It shows through two completely different plot lines that don't tie into each other at all (one of them feeling completely irrelevant and a waste of time by the end), a dull set of new characters, random and unexplained plot elements, and a bland and forgettable soundtrack.
I used to be such a big Harry Potter fan, but I'm not excited for the next Fantastic Beasts movie at all.
